Legal AI Assessment

Are You AI Prepared?

Assessing and Mitigating AI Risk. AI legal risks arise primarily from the technology in a given use case, the data in scope, and its cascading effects across the enterprise. Risk is not always obvious. At first blush, a use case may seem to be low risk but after in-depth analysis it might be high risk. Only once you have identified the risks can you develop effective mitigation options and governance and oversight plans tailored to that use case all with consideration for applicable AI laws.

What is AI Law? When you deploy or develop AI solutions, you need to be mindful of not only AI specific laws and regulations such as the EU AI Act or Colorado AI Act, but also all the existing laws that apply to industries, companies, and their operations, many of which don’t specifically mention AI but nonetheless apply. Understand how courts are already applying those laws with respect to AI solutions, in ways that are shifting traditional norms of liability. All of that is “AI Law.” Just as AI technology is rapidly evolving, so is AI Law.
